PURPOSE OBJETIVO
The Borinqueneers Motorcycle Club (MC) was founded with a clear purpose: to celebrate and promote the legacy of the 65th Infantry Regiment, a storied U.S. Army unit composed primarily of Puerto Rican soldiers known as the Borinqueneers. Established in May 2005, the club’s first chapter was formed in Connecticut, driven by a passion for honoring the regiment’s contributions, achievements, and sacrifices.
The Borinqueneers MC emerged from a desire to keep the regiment’s history alive through the shared love of motorcycling and a commitment to community. The Connecticut chapter, the inaugural hub, set the foundation for a growing network that now includes chapters in states like Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, and Puerto Rico. The club’s mission is rooted in the regiment’s motto, "Honor et Fidelitas" (Honor and Fidelity). By fostering camaraderie among riders and organizing events like presenting the Congressional Gold Medals to members of the 65th Infantry or to their family members, the Borinqueneers MC ensures the valor and cultural pride of the 65th Infantry Regiment continue to inspire future generations.
The Borinqueneers MC operates as a comprehensive life-enhancement organization that uses motorcycling as a vehicle for much larger purposes: honoring military heritage, strengthening communities, supporting families, and creating lasting positive change in society. The motorcycle is the common thread that binds together a much more ambitious and meaningful mission of service, honor, and community building.
